Chief Multitasking Officer CD,CLC, BS
Kami lives in Belgrade, Montana with her two beautiful children. She attended California State University - East Bay, graduating with her Bachelor's in Marketing and Corporate Management in 2011. She followed her dad to Missoula, Montana in 2012, moving to Bozeman in 2014. When Kami was pregnant with her first child she realized her support system was limited and reached out to Kelli with Tree of Life Doula Care. After experiencing such loving care, and feeling empowered by the birth of her daughter in 2015, she felt drawn to provide that same safe space for other women. Kami started helping out at community support groups like Baby Bistro and took a Breastfeeding Peer Counselor Training to better hone in on her already developing skills. In 2017 she took a 9 month intensive doula certification program through Doula Trainings International. After finishing the Certified Doula (CD) training with DTI, Kami began working with Tree of Life. "We have such a unique connection and can provide support to one another, just as we provide support to the families that we serve. It has been an honor and privilege to get to work with such an amazing group of women, and to be able to walk along side each family wherever they are on their journey." Kami spoke about the importance of supporting women during the perinatal period at Moms Like Me 2020, and when COVID first hit she advocated for doulas to be allowed to continue supporting families in our hospital. She trained and certified as a CLC (Certified Lactation Counselor) in 2021. After becoming a single mom, Kami transitioned away from birth doula work and became CMO (Chief Multitasking Officer), wearing many hats for Tree of Life Doula Care. Her commitment to the families we support comes from a very deep place of understanding, compassion, and love.
