Eliana is a student at MSU studying Early Childhood Education. She loves herbalism, music, reading, cooking, continuing to learn, and finding alternative ways to do things. She’s worked with families in both Waldorf and Montessori settings. Eliana first became interested in birth work when she was 18, and in the process of figuring out what she wanted to do in life. She received her doula certification from Peaceful Birth Company (based out of Fort Collins, CO) in 2022. She enjoyed learning about the birthing process, prenatal and postpartum care, and hearing all the stories from women who had their own stories and experiences to share. Eliana is drawn to the quote, “To change the world, we must first change the way the babies are being born.” She believes that the sacredness of pregnancy/birth and early childhood require the same reverence. Her hope is to combine all of her interests together. Postpartum care is a piece of the birth world that particularly resonates with her, because she loves cooking nourishing food and learning about how particular foods and herbs can help women support their hormones and fertility.
